Turmeric or ginger – which is safer for my cat when I want to add a pinch to his food?

Both turmeric and ginger are safe for cats when given in small amounts. A pinch of either spice is commonly used in joint supplements and won’t harm a healthy cat. Large quantities of either can irritate the stomach and cause vomiting or diarrhea. Offer only a tiny pinch, watch for any digestive upset, and contact your vet if you notice anything unusual.
