Cleaning protocols after spills
Nicotine residue on floors or furniture remains hazardous to pets for hours. Use gloves and wash the area with vinegar or soapy water—alcohol-based cleaners can spread the nicotine instead of removing it. Check between floorboards where sticky liquid might pool.
Store vape gear in locked drawers, not purses or pockets. Cats investigate falling pens or keys and may knock over bottles. Consider switching to childproof containers for all nicotine products, as many standard vape lids aren't pet-proof.
